Hello frOScon, hello RedFrogConf!
Padawans on Tour! This weekend we traveled to Cologne for our talk on RedFrogConf As you can see, we had a lot of fun 🙂 See some visual impressions:
We started very, very early in the morning from Berlin….
The lack of sleep caused a photo session….
And the people around us didn’t like the fun we had 🙂
We arrived to Cologne around 10 in the morning and took a nice walk around the city center, to the office of ArangoDB. Our coach Lucas is working there and allowed us to leave our luggage before we hit on the sightseeing tour.
Together with the nice people of ArangoDB we had a delicious lunch (picture is missing because of hunger) and then we walked towards Ehrenfeld to have a coffee and see more of the city.
Ute showed Magda her favourite coffee place in Cologne. And Magda liked it a lot.
We spend the evening with Ellen, Lucas, Bodo, Dirk, Bodo’s brother and his girlfriend.
And after a short night we went to the conference.
Unfortunately I (Ute) took no pictures on Saturday. Mayby because the day was overwhelming with its impressions. And maybe because we had to finish our talk preparations.
But believe us, we had fun. Especially in the evening.
Sunday was the big day for us! Our first talk. We were excited. Everything went well and we got a lot of positive feedback.
We also got invited to give the talk on RailsCamp again in September. A very nice event by the way. You should definetly come there and say hello to the Padawans.
Okay, you might think that we only had fun on that weekend. Yes, you are right. We had.
But we also learned a lot.
About executable documentation for example. This was very interesting and gave us the inspiration for our next gem 🙂
We can only say that the weekend was great! We met a lot of friends and made new ones. We had interesting conversations. We got job offers. This is our Summer of Code!
We gave our first talk.
